Pak Mie and his wife Mak Intan (Pak means ‘uncle’) have devoted over 20 years of their lives to rescuing the stray dogs and cats around Alor Setar in Kedah, Malaysia. The shelter has received support over the years from people supplying donations, food and medical intervention. Lately though, the shelter has grown in population and the couple struggle to feed and medicate over 700 dogs and cats (needs to be verified).
I met with Pak Mie and Mak Intan in July 2013 and produced this film from the footage and interviews I shot.
