A nonsurgical sterilization method would go a long way towards addressing the dog and cat overpopulation problem, while being easier on animals than the current method, surgery. Parsemus Foundation went to India in 2010 to check out a method first reported in the U.S. and subsequently pursued– with very little support– by researchers in Kolkata for more than a decade. They have published multiple scientific papers, but we wanted to see with our own eyes. Now you can see too, without going all the way to West Bengal!
Parsemus Foundation hopes to encourage larger funders working on nonsurgical sterilization to pursue this decidedly low-tech and unglamorous (but effective) method.
